Within a large wooded block of land, amongst the leafy surrounds of Misorano Forrest, lies Konayuki Cabin Hakuba. Representing the new standard in 2-bedroom accommodation for Hakuba Valley, no detail was overlooked when designing the stunning renovation of this classic Japanese mountain besso. Japanese design is melded seamlessly with Scandinavian minimalism to create a space that is truly as stunning, as the pictures present.
Growing up on the slopes of New Zealand’s South Island, the young owners of Konayuki Cabin have incorporated elements of their many years of combined northern and southern hemisphere snow-bound experiences to ensure the needs of diehard snow-fiends are catered to in every way. Konayuki Cabin has been crafted as a space to recuperate after a hard day on the slopes, or plan the following day’s expedition into the vast Hakuba Valley backcountry over a couple rounds of sake. With two cosy bedrooms that can be transformed from generous single beds into a huge king beds, Konayuki Cabin can accommodate four adults in absolute comfort. For five and six person families, or six travellers looking for a value deal, the corner sofa transforms into a comfortable queen sized bed in seconds.
So whether you're a die-hard snow fiend up at first light to stake out those fresh tracks, or a skier that tends to take a more leisurely approach, you'll find everything you need at Konayuki Cabin Hakuba.
Meticulous care was put into designing Konayuki Cabin Hakuba's communal spaces. There is a modern kitchen outfitted with all the latest amenities, joining to the open-plan dining and living areas. If cooking is your thing, the induction cooktop and electric oven will allow you to take full advantage of the beautiful fresh produce available in the Hakuba Valley.
The living areas are beautifully appointed with a firm focus on comfort. A corner couch—which doubles as an extra bed for two—sits under huge panoramic windows offering views of the forested glades surrounding Konyuki Cabin Hakuba and of the peak of Happo One. Guests will find everything they need to make their stay comfortable and enjoyable. There is a flat screen TV, with accompanying Apple TV, allowing you to watch the latest movies and TV shows. Or listen to some tunes on the wireless Bluetooth speaker. Needless to say, the cabin is also equipped with Japan’s blazing-fast broadband internet and WiFi.
Konayuki Cabin Hakuba is equipped with two bedrooms, allowing four adults to reside in absolute comfort and privacy. Each bedroom has large panoramic windows offering views into Misorano Forrest. Each room has a king bed that can be easily separated into two large single beds to accommodate singles or children. A further two guests can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the lounge, which serves as another comfortable double bed. Both bedrooms and the pullout sofa bed come equipped with thick mattress toppers. We promise you these are some of the most comfortable beds in the Hakuba Valley!
Konayuki Cabin Hakuba features one bathroom, equipped with a traditional deep Japanese bath and shower, and a separate toilet. There is also a combination washer/dryer.
Leading to the front entrance is a wood deck, offering views into the wooded garden, making the perfect setting for outdoor feasts during the spring/summer months.
